Description: This is a ninjutsu using materialized shadows, but compared to the Shadow Sewing Technique from the same line, this technique places emphasis on the minute control of the shadow's movements. It is accurate enough to even make the tentacles go through tiny holes. Basically, this technique takes the user's own shadow and transforms and stretches it into countless thin tentacles, which are then used to grab objects and pull them in. Also, one can also skillfully make use of the tentacle-shaped shadow tendrils by using them to lift up and throw weapons like kunai and such. This technique has many possible applications and uses. There are no hand seals used for this technique,

Description:
Shizuka invented this technique while teaching himself to use Chakra infused shuriken. By infusing the Shuriken with his own chakra beforehand, they are given the effect of his shadow techniques. By using these weapons to pierce the enemies' shadows, they are paralyzed in place. To pierce the shadow, it is necessary to avoid the target just barely. As it is more difficult for the enemy notice it, this ninjutsu also compensates for the weak point of the similar Shadow Imitation Technique, being its limited effective range. It is unknown for how long this jutsu can keep its targets paralyzed, however it can be disrupted by simply the removal of the blade or by the disappearance of the opponent’s shadow.

Description: The Shadow Imitation Technique allows the user to extend their shadow for as far as it has sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with a target's shadow, the two merge and the target is forced to imitate the user's movements. Therefore, the two can throw shuriken at each other at the same time if the user desires that (of course, to prevent hurting themselves, the user just has to have the shuriken holster in a place where you don't normally have it, like the back, so that the opponent draws nothing when the user draws a shuriken). If the target is out of range, the user can produce a better light source to increase their shadow's size or rely on preexisting shadows for their shadow to freely travel through. It's also possible to split one's shadow, either to trap more opponents at once, or to create a distraction.
The major downside of the Shadow Imitation is that it is tiring to use repeatedly; Hidan notes that the ability is subject to some form of diminishing return and decreases in potency after repeated use (Shikamaru can only maintain it for 5 minutes per use). If the user is low on chakra, the performance rate of the technique also deteriorates. Insufficient lighting will make the technique less effective.

Description:After capturing an opponent with the Shadow Imitation Technique, the user can then further extend their shadow up to the target's throat in the shape of a hand, which chokes them to death. Also, if the Shadow Imitation Technique isn't making the opponent copy their movements, this can be used to bind opponent's body in order to restrain them. The closer the user is to their opponent, the tighter the strangle will become. This technique cannot be used for an extended period of time and weakens with each passing minute. Light is a direct factor in this jutsu. It seems to make the strength of the bind stronger, though has no known effect on the duration of the bind.

Once
the technique has performed a shield of shadows will rise up and
deflect any incoming attacks. The shield is incredibly strong and will
be able to block most B-Rank Ninjutsu, projectiles or various other
attacks. The downside is that the shield can only be created in shadow,
unlike the other kage techniques it can not stretch into the sun. Once
created the shield will harden and become almost impossible to move.
Extended periods of exposure to light will make the wall disappear,
though simply reflecting the sun onto it will not suffice.

Description A ninjutsu from among the Nara clan's secret techniques that uses materialised shadows to attack and bind, instead of merely immobilizing and controlling like the Shadow Imitation Technique. The user changes the shape of their shadow into several sharp needles and controls each separately. They can then attack several targets simultaneously and at the same time snatch away their ability to move by sewing them stuck with the shadow threads. Because it is a physical attack, it is impossible to capture someone without harming them, but on the other hand, since the speed of invocation and the time of duration are excellent, it can be used when urgent restraint is required.

This technique is usually used to go through the target and capture them, but depending on the opponent, it can also be used as an attack to bring them down. This special characteristic finds its greatest effect when used as logistical support. After this technique hits someone, it can then be directly transformed back into the Shadow Imitation Technique.

Description: This technique shapes a large amount of water into a giant, powerful dragon, which hits the opponent with formidable might, dealing physical damage. The ideal place to use it is near a body of water, but if the caster's skill allows it, it is possible to use it even in a place where there is none. That said, the amount of water used will be in proportion with the caster's skill.

This jutsu needs forty-four hand seals, the highest amount of hand seals necessary to use a jutsu shown in the series so far. However, Tobirama Senju was able to produce one with only one hand seal.

Description: This is the nara's clan's strongest jutsu , The user's shadow extends behind them before sperating into one hundred hand's the hands then project forward towards there opponent, If the opponent is caught the battle would therefore be over Most off the hands would cover themselves over there opponent, The rest would proceed to rip the arms and legs off the opponent off the body, This is a pretty disgusting jutsu and would completly drain the user
Shikazu is also decently skilled in taijutsu, This is only when using his Trench Knives which he can use decently tho not as well as most kenjutsu or taijutsu users.!

Special Abilities: A highly uniquely-designed trench knife, these blades are worn like Brass knuckles, but each one has a sharpened zigzag "tooth" over each knuckle, and a blade coming out of one end. Shikazu couples these knives with his Hiden skills to great effect, such that he can take out nine Sound ninja in a matter of seconds. The knives can be infused with elemental chakra or Yin-Yang chakra to produce added effects.
Origin: Shizuka founf these blade's in his father's house, he was given the chance to train with them and later stole them from the family's home before leaving the leaf village,

History & Roleplay Sample

Clan History -

The Nara clan (奈良一族, Nara Ichizoku) or Nara family (奈良家, Nara-ke) is known for their manipulation of shadows and tending of deer, which graze in a large area of Nara clan forest. They have kept a book with medicine preparations and effects for generations which imply they are skilled in the area of medicine. Among the medicine described in this book are the secret pills used by the Akimichi clan.

Despite being considered geniuses, the men from this family are prone to being lazy and hard to motivate. Ironically, they tend to be attracted to stern, overbearing women. However, there appear to be other factors as well. The Nara men seem to hold women in high esteem, and as a result, willingly defer to their female partners. Shikaku Nara tells his son "Without women, men can't be born. Without women, men go to ruin. Even the hardest of women will show a sweet side to the man she loves and respects."

The Nara clan seems to have a special relationship with the Akimichi clan and Yamanaka clan. For at least two generations, members of these three families have formed an "Ino-Shika-Chō trio", named after the first part of the names of the members. The Nara members are the "Shika" in the trio. "Ino", "Shika" and "Chō" are the names of three cards needed for a highly prized trick of "Inoshikachō" in the Hanafuda.

The Nara clan has a research laboratory with an abundance of medicines stored in it. It is located deep in the mountains, and thus has little security.

Birth Arc -

Shikazu was born in the early summer, He was born directly into the Nara clan as the chiefs son, This gave him direct access to all the scroll's and access to the nara lab's, While growing up he was given high expectation's, At the age off three he was already starting his training in reading the shadow manipulation scroll's, He was told by his father he was to be the best, While his mother was a completly strict woman she seemed to be the only nara in the clan to show him any compassion, Unlike most nara who seem to think women are a hinderence Shikazu mother showed him love more than any male in the clan, This made him different from his clan, As he was one off the few member's who treated women as eqaul's, This caused the clan to be put off him even more, While still young he was on a trip with his mother who took him to a cafe, There he met two knew adult's, They were Inota Yamanaki, and Chooba Akamichi, They were called the ino shika cho trio, While at the cafe he met his soon to be team, Inoza and Chorio, They hit it off instantly tho Shikazu made the biggest mistake ever and tried to take a rice ball from Chorio's packet, This resulted in a little scuffle, Tho they laughed about it after wards, From then on the three were inseperable, always being together, Shikazu seemed to be the leader off the sqaud, Chorio had been picked on by some older boy's, Academy student's, They did'nt expect to be fighting the Nara clan's chief's son tho, They had picked on chorio and as quick as they had cursed the three they were on the ground unconcious, Inoza had took them out with one swing, While Chorio had headbutted the other, Shikazu had slammed his knee into the last boy's groin before delivering one single punch to the face, Ok the next thing they did was rather cheesy, They got into the stance they had seen there parents move and shouted "INO-SHIKA-CHO, The three best friends laughed all the way to there respective clan's, The academy was coming very soon, They had to show that they would be a great team no matter what,


Academy Arc -

Shikazu awoke, He was excited rare for a nara, He got dressed and headed out the door with only a "bye mama bya papa", He raced along the water side before getting to the ino-shika-cho usual meet up point,He waited for about five minute's before Inoza came up, They exchanged greetings and began to rapidly talk about the academy and how they would finally learn to control there chakra, They were already formulating plans when Chorio showed up..Ofcourse that fat boy couldnt resist not having a four course breakfast, They walked to the academy chatting about how to impress the proctor's, There team work was already top notch, They ofcourse were destined to work together like most off the Ino-Shika-Cho formation's,They blabbered all the way to the academy, About five second's into the class they were given there first row, They needed to stop talking, The Lecturer called it ironic having to tell a nara to be quite,Shikazu himself thought this was funny, Anyway they were given written work to do, Like usual the three worked together to get the answer's and all three gained one hundred percent, This happened all the way through the academy, In there 7th week off the academy they began to learn about chakra control, There teacher proceeded to give them a leaf which would stick onto there fore head, This was an ancient custom in the leaf village, It was made for sharpenning the mind, By concentrating all your energy on that single leaf on the forehead you will learn to build up your chakra, Thats what the lecturer told them, So thats what they did, The ino shika cho made a pact to meet up and practice this technique at 6 oclock in the morning, They were agreed on this, Soon after learning the leaf on head concentration they began to learn basic jutsu, Substitution, transformation and clones they also learned many ways to make use off shinobi weapon's and very soon there they were permitted to take the graduation exam, The ino shika cho passed this easyily, They were also all congratulated as they were the only three ninja to use all these jutsu without wasting any chakra something even the past generation off genin failed to do, They had now achieved genin status,

Genin arc,

As soon as they graduated they raced home saying good bye to each other, He told his parent's about his full mark's and they were over the moon, Tho now Shikazu was forced to start learning the nara's shadow possession jutsu, With genin mission's and training he felt unwillling, He wanted to practice with his friend's, Well he would get the chance, at six oclock he met up with his team, They placed the leaf's upon there forehead and proceeded to concentrate, At 7:45 they left and went to the academy, They were all boy's and when they entered the academy everyone was staring at them, They were all holding hand's, This was because it was the day they were told there team's, There worries were over, They were placed in the same team, Tho soon after they were sent outside due to the massive cheer's they let out, It was worth it tho, Well soon enough they met there jonin, An uchiha known as Kioto, He was very impressive and his skills were amazing, They were to retrieve bell's from there jounin, they charged in using there team work to distract the jounin, But in the end they failed to retrieve any bell's, The Jounin admired the ino shika cho trio and gave them the ok to go on, Soon enough the trio were performing expertly, Having being told on many occasions there team work was at chuunin standard's, The team were told that there mission success rate was exactly one hundred percent and would definatly be taken part in the Chuunin exam, After hearing this the team trained harder and harder so that they would become one off konoha's strongest team's,

Chuunin exam written,

Well having an iq off over One hundred and eighty this exam was nothing, Infact Shikazu finished it within twenty minutes, Tho he could see his team mates struggling, They finished within the hour tho and in the end they all suceeded onto the second task,

Chuunin exam second test,

Well it was that day, The second exam, Entering the forest off death, Like usual before hand at six oclock his team member's met up and focused there chakra using the leaf, It was there ritual and that would never change, While there after a few hour's they began to talk strategy, There father's had let them know what happened in the exam, Shikazu had about twenty idea's on how to act, Tho it depended on there opponent's, Any way it was getting late, They picked up there bag's which had been pre-packed and left there usual area and headed for the forest off death, There they were given..a form, It stated that konoha would not be held responsible if they were to die within the forest, Shikazu signed it easily, Inoza took a little longer and Chorio took ages, Finally all three handed there forms in and recieved a scroll, An earth scroll, This was given to Shikazu who was given the team leader roll, His team had decided on this due to his intelligent, They entered the forest and began to follow plan A, They were heading straight for the tower, That is were they would strike, It would be easy there an open area plenty off light, Bushes to hide in, So thats what they did, Ofcourse it was to far away to get there in one day, They reached what Shikazu deciphered as half way before they decided to rest, They would take it in turn's and just to be sure, Shikazu began to set up paper bomb traps which would activate when someone was near, Once this had done he would take the first watch, Nothing interesting really happened, A large bug tried eating Inoza but a simply explosive kunai took care off that, A few hour's later and Inoza took over the watch, Once again nothing happened, It was quite, Ninja werent coming this way yet, Chorio was the last to take watch and this was were the excitement happened, The paper bomb trap went off waking both sleeping ninja up, Stealthily they crept to the sound and sure enough there were three leaf ninja looking around...Huddled together not to smart, Forming the rat handseal Shikazu allowed his shadow to fly towards the ninja trapping them, Inoza and Chorio charged out, The raided the ninja only to find an earth scroll, They were released from the shadow possesion jutsu, Ino Shika Cho apologised and let them leave without taking the earth scroll, Well they were awake Once more they headed to the tower, This time it was them who were stopped, It was ninja from the sound village, The Ino Shika Cho landed on the ground around 5 foot from there opponents, the sound held out a scroll, It was a heavon scroll, the fight commenced, Shikazu fought against a taijutsu user, He struggled greatly due to lack off taijutsu training he had, he was battered around for a bit before being able to escape, Inoza on the other hand was skilled at taijutsu but was losing to a slow moving defencive ninja, Chorio was handling himself, "INOZA SWITCH" yelled shikazu, instantly they did Inoza charged at the taijutsu user and an epic fight beetween them happened, The slow moving guy was easy to take down, A Simple shadow possesion jutsu had it down, Shikazu made an imaginery movement were he pulled a kunai from his leg, Really this was were the opponents kunai were, He forced his opponent to lift it to his own kneck and slit his throat, With that ninja dying, Shikazu brought his attention to Chorio, He had just finished off his own opponent, There was a crash, Turning they watched as Inoza blasted his opponent to the ground, It took them seconds to take the scroll before leaving, They sat upon the ground after running for an hour and indulged themselves in the food they had packed, Shikaku had also brought chakra pills which they ate to give them there chakra back, Then it was on to the tower, It was a clean run but they were then interrupted, Ninja were waiting there for them, Tho they werent as skilled as the sound the ino shika cho dispatched them with ease and entered the tower, There jonin appeared as they threw the scrolls down, He gave them a small lecture on heaven and earth which resembled mind and body, Soon enough everyone arrived, They were led into a small room were they were told about the third task,


The months training,

It was in this month that Shikazu decided to train his taijutsu, His father gave him two blade's, Two tench knives which were held like knuckle duster's Shikazu trained hard with these blade's and soon enough was able to use taijutsu at a genin level,


Third exam

the third exam was a straight out fight, Infront off spectator's, Shikaku's fight was second, he used this time to study the other fighter's, The first fight was pretty basic, basic jutsu's and basic ninja, It was over after an hour off slapping and bitching, With a single sigh, Shikazu made his way down to he arena, His opponent was from the leaf, hmmm he was big, BEGIN, the proctor stated, Shikazu took the blade's from there holder's and charged, the big man retaliated quickly forming into a human boulder, Yes thought Shikazu, An akamichi he had fought against one his whole life in spar's, He easily dodges the human boulder and jumped backward's awaiting another move, It came quickly the boulder turned around and aimed straight for the Nara, Who once again moved, As he moved he dropped his blade's , As he jumped he formed the rat handsign and caught the man in the shadow imitation jutsu, Shikazu would walk to were the blade would have been if it were on his side, This forced his opponent to do the same, Shikazu pretended to pick it up, His opponent would pick it up and then place it to his kneck, STOP yelled the proctor, Shikazu win's, Releasing his jutsu Shikazu walked up to the ninja and took the blade before bowing, He then returned to the stand and watched the other ninja fight, He was gathering intellect learning that in this year off genin, they had 3 fire user's two akamichi's a yaminaka and one water user, Sand had a wind user and a puppet user, The sound had only one team now and naturally the altered sound wave's, He jogged this down in his book before watching inoza in the last fight, MAN HE WAS FAST, Inoza had blinding speed, the fight was over as soon as it began,...Why was he doing this, why couldnt he take his eye's off Inoza's shining face, Meh! he shook his head and congratulated his team mates for winning, Soon enough they were granted chuunin status,

Chuunin,

Around this time Shikazu's training really took off, He was practising daily with his shadow, He was learning from his father a master off the hiden,It was simple enough or so he thought he was 16 and it took him exactly 3 years to master the Shadow Endgame the Shadow imitation shuriken technique and the shadow neck bind, All off this training on top off mission's were really getting to him, It was also taking effect on his team mates as they to were getting scrolls of there family shoved down there throat, Tho they made time every morning for there usual chakra concentration session's All three shinobi were summoned to the academy, There jonin commander was there, This was were they began learning what element they held to begin with, All given a piece off paper Ino was first, Immediatly after his chakra split in two, Wind, Chorio was next, Once more it seemed to happen immediatly, the paper was wet, Water, Shikazu was next and just like the other the effect seemed imediate, The paper crumbled, Lightning, It was then they began to try elemental jutsu, All but Shikazu he decided to study more on his shadow manipulation, Technique after technique he failed to grasp, Even on missions he seemed to be less active, finally he decided to get his head back in the game, After a month of failures he took on missions and started to get his name back, Eventually after a year off mission successes and training he mastered two new jutsu a shockwave like shadow and a shadow clone not to be mistaken for kage bunshin, Eventually he became a jonin, After all there training, The ino shika cho were a group off jounin fighter's,


Jonin,

His Jonin day's were short just like the rest off the ino Shika Cho trio, They fought mission after mission, and it was these day's that Shikazu had went to the lab and took supplies and the elemental shadow scroll to learn, They were already a formidable team even alone they were amazing, Tho konoha was no longer there home they felt alone here trapped, As if something bad was going to happen...and it was true, The hokage feared that the team would take the village, On there final mission for konoha they were ambushed by the anbu, The epic battle took place but sadly for the anbu they were dispatched, Ofcourse they guessed they were targets but they returned to konoha none the less, They planned to leave, They returned to there home's and packed there item's, Shikazu packed the elemental shadow scroll and the family trench blade's, Meeting at there usual spot he awaited for his friend's to appear, He did'nt have to wait long, The sun had set and darkness had covered the leaf village, They knew were they were heading, at twenty year's old each they were intelligent enough to survive, They planned to head to kiri, Looking at the leaf one last time, They looked to each other and left, "Goodbye dad mum" was Shikazu's last words before the night swallowed them up,


On the run -

The ino shika cho were on the run, Tho they did not get attacked, Sadly one night was gonna destroy there team work, It was winter and they were almost at Kiri, It happened quickly The Hachibi appeared from no were, It happened fast and quicky All three found themselves flying through the air and slamming into the ground, They remained still as the hachibi raged, Shikazu got up quickly grabbing his friends from harms way, it was then he realised it had happened, Chorio was'nt breathing....and he did'nt breath again, They could'nt move even after the hachibi was gone, They were in shock, Inoza was strong holding back every tear he could were as Shikazu could not, Tear's streamed his face constantly no matter how hard he tried he couldnt stop,He felt embarrased but why, Inoza was watching him, Soon enough Inoza held Shikazu, He heard it before he saw it, Tear's flew from Inoza's face, Falling onto Shikazu's blood covered hair, Then they fell asleep, Soon enough they fell asleep, When they awoke they began to dig with there hand's, It took hours and it was painful, Soon enough the hole was big enough, Taking his blades he cut into the rock, CHORIO AKAMICHI, BEST FRIEND, RIP, Then they left, Walking away from there best friend but not his memory,


The next fate,

Ioza and Shikazu were now 26, There voyage to kiri was long and they continued to train, Every mornign at six there ritual kept going, Tho tears now followed that ritual as one member was gone. Shikazu had created his elemental shadow jutsu and was now mastered in them, Tho it took him 6 year's to only master two, This included mastering the element needed for one off them, He had also mastered his forebidden technique, It was around this time the biggest heartbreak off all was going to happen, In an instant a man appeared, Then a second, They wore cloak's patterened with cloud's, Everything happened fast, The talking and the fight were blurred, Shikazu was engaged in a fierce battle with one off the member's finally he managed to break the akatsuki's kneck, At his team mates death the other member fled,Shikazu looked around,He found Ioza lying on the ground hurt and breathing badly, Shikazu walked up to them, "Ioza ill get you help ill make sure you dont leave, You cant i need you" All Ioza could do was smile, Shikazu could not help it, He bent over and touched Ioza's lips with his own, Shocking Ioza returned the kiss, It lasted for a few minutes, They said the three words at the same time Shikazu in his trembling scared voice, Ioza in his breathless low whisper, "i...love..you" NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Shikazu's voice echoed the area before his pain and sorrow over took him completly, The tear's covered his vision, His best friends were gone, He had finally confessed his love and his love had done the same, and now he was gone, By the bijuu and the akatsuki, He was ready, Once more the buriel was painful for the mind and body, he used his hands once more, Once more he wrote the grave stone using his blades it read, "INOZA, BEST FRIEND AND LOVE, REVENGE WILL HAPPEN AND I HOPE TO JOIN YOU AND CHORIO SOON"
With that he left, He staggered towards the direction off kiri
