Using the pure darkness Hiei can create whatever he wishes. an army of shadow Hiei, floating weapons or a black gate used to adsorb a powerful attack into another dimension. even if "Dark chakra engulfing abyss" is deactivated these creations will continue to exist un affected by the light because they consume light its self, they stay until destroyed. Black gate lasts until it has absored an A rank jutsu or 2 B rank jutsu or 3 C rank, cannot adsorb S rank jutsu's

iThe black gate is a sorta channel jutsu where i must be immobile and keep my hand on the back of it so its issued out of my palm. if i move it dissipates. as for the army there basically like if i used shadow clone jutsu. and floating weapons have a range of 15 feet, if the are outside of that range i lose control and they dissipate

there are no draw backs and it is not stated how long it takes to keep it going

To which aspect of this jutsu are you referring to drawback wise? the black gate?

so in conclusion the black gate leaves me defenseless from the sides and back and the other two are minor jutsu
